I have done a research paper about the campaign of knowing the symptoms of COVID-19
I need someone to add three sections.
1. Timeline:
What is the detailed timeline for all aspects of the plan? This needs to be organized and
easy to follow with specific dates. Make sure this is complete.
2. Budget:
Each item and expense must be shown and given a total. You might need to do some
research to get an idea of what items cost.
3. Evaluation:
What are the techniques you will use to show that you have met your goal, objectives,
solved the problem? You might also consider how you would judge the effectiveness of
each of your included tactics.

Introduction
Lately, the worlds economy has wrecked due to the number of people who have signed
for unemployment as resulted by the pandemic. Currently, New York and New Jersey are the
most affected states in the US. With the total number of people who have already rendered to be
unemployed being 6.95 million people, the economy of the US and the world at large will go
into recession (Sokol et al., 2020). Such information should be aired in a manner that employs
the best PR strategies to avoid cases of people developing stress, anxiety, and depression. Many
people have also reported having panicked since, during this trying moment in life, they have
shown signs that are almost similar to those of coronavirus due to lack of proper awareness. The
aspect is traumatizing, especially if it calls for isolation of a family member until the results of
the tests come out. It is also evident that there are not enough test kits, and some nations are
asking those who want to be tested to pay for service. The economic challenge in the situation
makes an individual develop stress that can later make them depressed.
Problem Statement
The unprecedented challenges of coronavirus have made the UN call upon nations to find
all possible ways of making a public relation plan (PR). The primary reason is to minimizing
social, mental, psychological, economic, and health issues that are resulted by the disheartening
information and news coming from all regions in the world (Sokol, Forrest Jr. & Feinstein,
2020). Many people have also reported having panicked since, during this trying moment in life,
they have shown signs that are almost similar to those of coronavirus due to lack of proper
awareness. Lately, Italians were seen scattering money on the streets to display their dying hope

due to the disbelief they receive day by day regarding the deterioration of the health of the
people in the nation and the exponential increase in the number of people dying in homes and
ICUs due to the effects of COVID-19 (Sokol et al., 2020). Unemployment rates are increasing
disproportionately (Sokol et al., 2020). The aspect is traumatizing, especially if it calls for
isolation of a family member until the results of the tests come out.
Research
There is varying information concerning Covid-19 where some are new. It is, therefore,
vital to keep learning about it from what we now know. It has been noted by the WHO that in
some people, they might experience a slight flu symptom with a slight running nose. On the
other hand, other people get more sick and can have difficulty breathing and developed
pneumonia. Some people get very seek. Perhaps they might get hospitalized and unfortunately
die and perhaps, they might recover after close attention and control of the underlying symptoms
are managed by caregivers. There is still the need of learning more about coronavirus and how
the disease affects people. Perhaps, those who have died had had other underlying health issues
and perhaps, some were having weak immune systems. The knowledge about coronavirus will
change with time as WHO continues to find more evidence about the symptoms, management of
the problem and finding an antidote for the virus.
There are many reasons why covid-19 is considered to be worse than the flu. It is also
vital for local and national authorities to share the information concerning the situation in various
areas in calling upon the community and health care providers to provide quick support and
information as well as knowledge regarding right health facility practices and the protocols to be
followed to prevent antecedent and spread of coronavirus. For that reason there are various

research questions that need to be answered in order to enhance the campaign of knowing the
symptoms as a measure to control the spread and the number of deaths resulting from
coronavirus.
Research questions
1. What are the simple symptoms that one should look upon and seek for medical attention
for the sake of protecting themselves and others?
2. Since Covid-19 shows some similar symptoms that relate to flu, what distinguishes
Covid-19 from seasonal flu?
3. What protocol needs to be followed to report coronavirus cases and to seek medical
attention?
Formal and Informal Research Techniques to Answer the Questions
Formal
The scientific exploration with regards to analysing the difference between seasonal flu
and covid-19 symptoms will be laboratory examination of the droplets collected from a patient
suffering from Coronavirus with close comparison with the Spanish flu that once affected the
world. Incorporation of former research concerning Spanish flu and the symptoms associated
with the Spanish flu will also aid in enhancing formal research approach.
Informal
Informal research approaches will involve paying attention to qualitative data concerning
the spread, symptoms, and control of the spread of coronavirus from patient to patient.

Respective analysis of the patient who have suffered from Corona virus and the conditions that
they acquired the virus will also enhance the approach of finding an answer to the research
questions and how to identify whether an individual is suffering from a seasonal flu or from
coronavirus.
The best research approach will be informal research since it will be better to get the
information direct from the individuals who are suffering or who have recovered from
coronavirus through personal interviews and setting up focus groups. Nurses and caregivers in
healthcare centres dealing with Coronavirus patients will also be viable sources of information
and can also be considered to be relevant individuals in establishing focus groups. A group of 10
people involving nurses, caregivers and patients with an experience of coronavirus will enhance
collection of information through interviews and focus groups.
Publics Involved
The Public that is most vulnerable to suffering due to lack of proper information includes
people in the marginalized regions. This population may need a better campaign strategy to make
them get vital information regarding COVID-19 symptoms. Since they might not be able to get
live updates on the media channels, the road campaign can work better in the region. Besides, the
radio campaign can enhance their awareness of know the Symptoms campaign.
Secondly, there is a population of students in higher learning institutions who are
ignorant of the pandemic. The campaign of Know the Symptoms can enable them to be vigilant in
examining themselves concerning coronavirus. Focus groups can also involve victims who are
higher education institutions as a way of enhancing awareness. Thirdly, people living across

tropical forests and in icy countries often develop cold. They are, therefore, supposed to be the
third and special target for the awareness campaign for COVID-19.
Goals
1. To ensure that the people who are most vulnerable to suffering from common cold are
assured that they are safe from coronavirus by going deep into airing the vital signs for
covid-19 to prevent unnecessary tests.
2. To shine light on the relevant campaign strategy on the need for prevention of community
transmission by airing out information on how to sanitize all surfaces that are potential
places to transmit the virus to humans especially the population that are part of higher
learning institutions.
3. To enhance awareness among the marginalized population who get little or no
information about coronavirus disease, symptoms, measures to take once one is a victim,
and where to get the information.
Objectives:
1. Carry out a two weeks survey to test whether marginalized populations have all the key
symptoms of coronavirus by ticking on the specific symptoms included on the survey
forms using google forms.
2. To analyze the number of people who have ever suffered from common cold or seasonal
flu in the past 10 years with a scale of high fever that made them to be hospitalized or
mild fever that ended later.
3. To determine the frequency of receiving updates via phone, or television in the past one
week for (a) marginalized individuals and (b) students in higher education institutions,

Strategies:
I will set up survey questions using google forms. The surveys will also incorporate
consent forms that will enable the participants to sign if they are willing to let their information
be used for furthering research about know the symptoms for coronavirus pandemic.
Ethnographic study will also enhance collection of information from the individuals who will not
be reachable due to the challenge of staying in remote or marginalized regions. Survey data will
be analyzed using SPSS software. The analysis will enhance the approach of making inferences
regarding the results.
Messages
What are the specific messages you will communicate to each of the public to achieve your
goals?
Background Information Regarding Campaign Messages
The Campaign of Know the Symptoms Should be incorporated on various internet search
engines to enable all visitors on the search engines to be aware of the symptoms and to seek the
required medical and nursing help. The aspect will reduce anxiety among people experiencing
signs of a common cold. Some of the campaign strategies that have shown an epitome of success
lately include the #IceBucketChallenge, Apples The Power of Having an iPhone, the Airbnb
new Logo Campaign, and the Burger King campaign. Additionally, Google campaign strategies
have also worked. Currently, the world is watching the progress of COVID-19 pandemic closely
through media and social media platforms.

The stated public will have to be informed about the plan to find better measures to
prevent unprecedented deaths and infections. They will also be informed that the information
concerning COVID-19 is subject for change as stipulated by WHO. Thus, the message will
enable the participants to take part in contributing towards arriving at solutions for COVID-19 as
well as better information to enhance the knowledge about the symptoms. Most of the
participants will be urged to share vital information concerning early symptoms especially from
the victims or the ones who recovered from the pandemic. The messages are clearly linked to the
public.
Google is capable of airing information worldwide. Thus, it is a viable idea if the UN can
call upon the world as a community to campaign for communication that can give people around
the globe hope for a better tomorrow as an antidote for the pandemic is still under study by EBP
researchers (Sokol et al., 2020). Some companies are planning to use Google for PR. for
instance, there is an article that communicates about retailers take concerning promoting their
businesses during this striking time. There is an initiative of starting a campaign named COVI19 Retail Strategy-Think with Google.
Tactics
Vans with Sirens and Public Address
Sharing the information requires a public address system that is audible enough to
communicate the information to a larger audience. The vans will also distribute the pamphlets on
the streets and hang them on walls rather than giving them to people as a way of preventing

physical contact. The vans will air out that the pamphlets have directions on how to participate in
the online survey without filling paper.
Branded Vehicles
The community will be called upon to volunteer to let their cars be branded with special
information concerning a survey to find better solutions to handle COVID-19 through knowing
the symptoms. The cars will also be branded with enticing information that can convince the
public to take part in the campaign.
Some of the messages will be
i. Kindly be the solution to ending person-to-person infection of coronavirus by educating the
world
ii. Take part in the online survey
iii. You have the potential to contribute to the solution
ivCoronavirus can be controlled
