Pollution or Littering in California

Some of the keywords entered included pollution, pollutants, the source of pollution, littering, forms of pollution, cause and effects of pollution on the environment and control of pollution. For instance, I noted that pollution is the introduction of contaminants into the natural environment that causes adverse changes resulting from human activity (Eckel et al., 2016). Whereas, pollutants are components that contaminate the environment. On the other hand, littering is the improper disposal of waste product at an inappropriate location (Paez-Osuna et al., 2017). However, the source of pollution is an identifiable point where pollution originates. Besides, major forms of environmental pollution include air pollution, light pollution, soil pollution, solid waste pollution, water pollution, and sound pollution (Sutton et al., 2016). Generally, all these environmental pollution have a negative and harmful effect on living organisms.

According to my internet findings, some keywords yielded the best results than others. As a result, forms of pollution, effects of pollution, pollution control and littering and its effects on the environment seemed to yield the best results from the research. These keywords had extensive contents from different internet sources that enabled me to gather a lot of information by comparing and contrasting search results from the different sources. After performing a quick research, most of the results from blogs, articles, websites, books and journals. I found out a lot of information concerning my chosen topic. Articles and websites provided nearly 98% of the information on pollution or littering in California. Besides, from the research I have done on pollution, it is clear that most of the information was from the website due to the large volume of published literature in it even though some was found in articles. The accessibility, effectiveness and wide content from website helped me perform a successful research on my topic. In addition, web layout and navigation guided me on specific questions thus I had the ability to gain access to the most current information.
