Following the game, Tommy, whose family is in need of money for his little sisters school supplies, decides he wants to help out and sells his MVP trophy to Big State Pawn shop for $150. The institutions athletics compliance office discovers Tommys sale when Jimmy Compliance, the institutions athletics compliance officer, is purchasing a wedding ring for his girlfriend at Big State Pawn. The discovery occurs during training camp prior to the start of Tommys senior season.
