EVIDENCE-BASED DECISION MAKING OR DECISION-BASED EVIDENCE MAKING?
Consider a decision you needed to make recently, whether it was of little or significant importance. What was the role of evidence in supporting this decision? Did you seek out the evidence first to guide you toward a decision, or was your mind already made up and you sought evidence to support your gut feeling? In this Discussion, you will examine one example of a time when you made a decision based on evidence and one example of a time when you made a decision before finding the evidence for support.
