Once all the information was plugged into the CDC wonder Website I found that in the state of Colorado in 2016 there was an estimated of over 5 million citizens. Out of those there was a total of 620 cases of pancreas cancer. 27 African Americans and 593 whites were affected. Now as of the state Wisconsin it has around the same amount of people in the population. But as of the case there was a slight increase. Whites with a total of 927 cases and blacks with 57 cases.
Pancreas cancer has same risk factors that include personal, environmental, health, and inherited risk factors have been identified that increase the chances of a person developing the disease. It is normally found more in the white population so those with whose genetics are more prone to getting this kind of cancer. (Risk factors 2020) Another contributing factor is obesity, this can increase your chances. An environmental issue that can be risk is secondhand smoke. Smokers have a higher risk of not only getting the disease themselves but also spreading it others through the environment.
